Date: Thursday 9th April
Time: 1:30pm – 6:30pm
Following a period of significant challenges, we are proud to have secured sustainable funding from April 2026 to support the development of an integrated model of care here in Kirklees. This marks an important step forward, helping us to reinforce our core services whilst ensuring we can continue to deliver high-quality specialist palliative and end of life care on our In-Patient Unit and in our community, now and into the future.
As we move into a positive new chapter for our vital local charity, we are growing our workforce in key areas to strengthen our services and reach more patients and families who are relying on our care. When you join The Kirkwood, you aren’t just taking a job; you are joining a movement of people who believe that everyone affected by a life limiting illness deserves the very best care.
We are currently recruiting for several rewarding positions across the charity. Our clinical vacancies include roles Palliative Community Nurses, Auxiliary Nurses, and Clinical Nurse Specialists, to name a few, while our support services team is looking for a Finance Manager to join a job share and chefs to support our catering team. We also have openings within income generation for Community, In Memory, and Legacy Fundraisers. Furthermore, our retail department is growing, with opportunities for shop managers and assistants in Mirfield aswell as a deputy manager role in Kirkburton. - it's an exciting time to join us!
If you are interested in joining our team but don’t see the right role for you today, we’d love to have a conversation with you. There will even be the opportunity to be invited to an interview on the day of the event, so if you think you might be interested in joining our team, please bring any relevant documents along with you.
