“Lost for Words”: Advanced Communication Skills
Using a blended learning approach, this CPD accredited programme uses an evidence-based practices along with key communication skills and behaviours, allowing participants to test these approaches on real examples drawn from their own practice, in a safe and supportive learning environment
Delivered by qualified Clinical Educators and Maguire trained practitioners with vast experience of specialist palliative care, the programme consists of:
- Digital self study – up to 120 minutes of evidence gathering, knowledge gaining and preparation
- 90-minute pre-workshop Introductions & Expectations session approx 2 weeks prior to the Workshop – introducing the facilitators and outlining expectations for the workshop.
- 1-day practical workshop – looking at the application, practise and feedback
Please note that this course provides 11 hours of CPD (Continuing Professional Development)

This workshop is delivered in two parts, the first session will be held virtually on MS Teams, with the second session held in person from 9:30an until 4:30pm based at The Kirkwood, Dalton.
